This morning, the 94th Annual Chincoteague Pony Swim came to an end as the south herd of ponies left the carnival grounds around 11am, paraded back through the streets of Chincoteague and swam across the channel to Assateague Island until next year. It is through the hard work and dedication of the Chincoteague Volunteer Fire Company and their love of these beautiful wild ponies that this event is a great success, so if you see a Saltwater Cowboy or a member of the fire company at the carnival..
