Welcome to all new cardholders at Fresno County Public Library! We started the month of September with a goal of getting 2,000 new card signups. At the end of the month we were surprised with 3,027 new library friends! This county loves its library! Recently, Cal Fire visited the Auberry Library for a wonderful Storytime! We learned about what the firefighters at Cal Fire do to keep our forests and us safe. They talked about the fire engine and even let us sit in the driver’s seat! Thank you, Cal Fire! We had a great time! We created this short video a few years ago and think it’s worth sharing again on this Throwback Thursday. We could have gone on for days with the rich railroad history in the Central Valley, but there are just so many hours in the day. We’ll get started with the original three (yes, three!) railroad stations in the immediate Fresno area.
