The news that the Roy Rogers fast-food chain (and that Fixin's Bar!) is making a comeback on Long Island brought back memories of classic Roys' commercials. In the summer of 1988, Roy Rogers got into trouble for a commercial that poked fun at bad school cafeteria food. The ad was found to be so distasteful by the food workers' union that Roys ended up pulling it, while insisting it was all meant in good fun.
