Mar 11, 2011 · As long as my XD performs like it should and they keep coming out with accessories, I have no issues. I wouldn't call Springfield. They have better things to do than take 10,000+ calls from customers trying to figure out when they built your handgun. It's really useless knowledge. FWIW Springfield doesn't build the XD. They just import it.

Feb 6, 2006 · The XD-45ACP is right at the same size as my combat commander, it is alot lighters & holds 13+1 where the commander holds 8+1. The XD also has an intergraded freed ramps where the 1911 don't, which makes the XD alittle more excepting of differant bullet profiles.
