Cascade Rail Foundation - Remembering the Milwaukee Road in Washington
Former Milwaukee Road employee Frank Zellerhoff will be sharing his memories about the railroad’s operations on the Seattle waterfront in the 1970s. The depot will be open for visitors from 11 am to 2 pm on Friday, February 14, while we do some work in the restaurant space.

Come visit us in South Cle Elum to see some important remnants of Milwaukee Road history. The exhibit area in the depot is typically open from noon to 4:00 p.m. on Saturdays from May through September.

We have worked with Washington State Parks since 1999 to rehabilitate the Milwaukee Road depot in South Cle Elum and now have a beautifully restored depot, built in 1909, with a developing interpretive center and a fully operational “Beanery” leased to Smokey’s Bar-B-Que.
