Dazzler (Alison Blaire) is a superheroine appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics, often in association with the X-Men. She first appeared in Uncanny X-Men #130 (February 1980). [7]

Dazzler accompanied the injured X-Men to Muir Island following their defeat at the hands of the Marauders. Alison was forced to cooperate with the reformed X-Man Rogue, a one-time adversary who had once wished to kill her.

Dazzler joined the team just in time to see the Fantastic Four and Doctor Doom fight over saving Kitty Pryde, mix it up with the Avengers and the Soviet Super Heroes over Magneto during a time when he served with the X-Men and even face Mephisto.

Dazzler later fought with the X-Men against the Vampires that had invaded San Francisco. When Lobe unleashed his mutant plague on Utopia, Dazzler was one of the few mutants not on the island, and thus was part of the only active X-Men team, along with Pixie, Northstar, and Storm, and led by Angel.

Dazzler made her first appearance in Uncanny X-Men #130 before the development had finished, and the cross promotion eventually collapsed, with Dazzler's solo series beginning in 1981.

Later, when Gambit attacked the X-Men at a carnival while trying to abduct Rogue on behalf of the Strucker twins, Dazzler helped rescue civilians trapped in a Ferris wheel. She then accompanied the team to rescue Rogue, who nevertheless left of her own free will.
