Ghana Inflation Rate - TRADING ECONOMICS
Ghana's annual consumer inflation increased marginally for the fourth straight month, reaching 23.8% in December 2024, up from 23% in the prior month. It was the steepest inflation rate since April 2024, mainly driven by prices of food & non-alcoholic beverages (27.8% vs 25.9%).
Inflation is reported year-on-year (annual inflation) and month-on-month (monthly inflation) and granulated to determine regional and commodity type and source of inflation. Prices are collected from about 8,337 outlets. Prices are collected for approximately 47,800 products every month from 16 regions.

Jan 8, 2025 · Ghana’s annual inflation rate climbed to its highest level in eight months in December, reducing the prospects of an interest-rate cut later this month.
The year-on-year inflation rate as measured by the CPI was 54.1 percent in December 2022 (Figure 1). This rate of inflation for December 2022 is the percentage change in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) over the twelve-month period, from December 2021 to December 2022. The monthly change rate for December 2022 is 3.8 percent.
