Pope Francis held a private meeting at the Vatican on Sunday morning with Vice President JD Vance, the Vatican said in a statement.

Francis and the vice president briefly exchanged Easter wishes, the Vatican said. An earlier meeting between Mr. Vance and church officials involved “an exchange of opinions” on migration.

U.S. Vice President JD Vance has met briefly with Pope Francis on Easter Sunday as the pontiff recovers from pneumonia.
