Former President Joe Biden joined thousands of mourners Friday as former Minnesota House Speaker Melissa Hortman lay in state in the Minnesota Capitol rotunda.

Earlier this month, it didn’t take long for many Republicans to blame Democrats for the assassinations of Minnesota political couple Mark and Melissa Hortman.
