The Georgia Bulldogs are leading 14-3 against the Texas Longhorns through two quarters, but one of their major defensive players is heading to the locker room. Linebacker CJ Allen left the game due to injury. Sophomore Chris Cole is replacing Allen in the lineup.
Texas should feel fortunate to be down only 14-3. Georgia had control of this one in the first half and it feels like a game that the Dawgs should have a bigger lead, especially with Texas going 0-for-6 on first downs and committing seven penalties to Georgia’s zero. The Dawgs also came up with a turnover but didn’t capitalize.
The No. 10 Longhorns fell 35-10 to the No. 5 Bulldogs in a game plagued by penalties, dropped passes and bad communication. The game was a crucial SEC matchup, and Texas' playoff potential is now in jeopardy. It's the third loss for the Longhorns against the Bulldogs in the past year.
