It was a strange week for McIlroy, who arrived at the PGA as the most celebrated player in golf after he completed the career Grand Slam.

The U.S. Open returns to Oakmont Country Club for the first time since 2016 when play begins on Thursday, June 12. Dustin Johnson was the winner that year, but he's a +8000 longshot in the 2025 U.S. Open odds since he hasn't won a major since 2020.
