Jonathan Reynolds is asked by inquiry chair Sir Wyn Williams if it's "worth preserving the Post Office". The business secretary says he feels the public still wants a Post Office. While he doesn't feel that sub-postmasters are "earning appropriate remuneration", he does see busy offices when he stops by in his own community.

Europe boss also speaks of 'nervousness' in any extension to the use of the controversial, ageing system Fujitsu Europe boss has told a public inquiry into the Post Office scandal — one of the widest miscarriages of justice in UK history — that the company does not trust the UK public body in its use of Horizon system data to support future police prosecutions.

In his second appearance in front of the inquiry, Mr Patterson also admitted that he did not know whether Fujitsu had done an independent report into the software system. Though he added that he would welcome a third-party investigation.
