MLS is past the midway point of the season, making Austin, Texas, the center of American soccer world as the all-star festivities come to down. The league's best, minus Lionel Messi, will play an exhibition match where they'll face off against the Liga MX all-stars.

The 2025 MLS All-Star Game is in the books with MLS defeating Liga MX All-Stars 3–1 at Q2 Stadium with three of the best strikers in the league on the scoresheet. Interest in the game took a hit hours before kick-off after Inter Miami’s Lionel Messi and Jordi Alba were removed from the final matchday roster.

It’s a rare all-star game that reflects a league’s evolution, but that’s what this year’s MLS showcase offers. On July 23 at 9 p.m. ET, two dozen MLS players will step onto the field at Q2 Stadium in Austin, Texas, and offer a snapshot of the league’s progress.

Before the MLS All-Stars took the main stage on Wednesday night, the heart of All-Star Week unfolded on a sunny Austin morning at the Special Olympics Unified Sports MLS All-Star Game, featuring two players from Utah’s own Real Salt Lake Unified team.
