The deal, reportedly to cost over $150 million dollars, gives reigning Premier League champions Liverpool a marquee playmaker with versatility across the attacking parts of the pitch.

Liverpool has agreed to pay a transfer fee of 116 million pounds ($157 million) for Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen.

The 22-year-old registered 16 goals and 15 assists across 45 games in 2024-25, as Leverkusen finished second in the Bundesliga.
