U.S. Copyright Office head Shira Perlmutter was terminated by the Trump administration on Saturday, just days after the Librarian of Congress was fired.

The Trump administration has fired the nation’s top copyright official, Shira Perlmutter, days after abruptly terminating the head of the Library of Congress, which oversees the U.S. Copyright Office.

Carla Hayden, the first woman and African American to occupy the position, had been targeted in recent days by a right-leaning group.
