Airports are now accepting verified IDs shown on an iPhone in place of physical driver’s licenses and passports.

The U.S. rollout begins in beta at Transportation Security Administration checkpoints in more than 250 airports nationwide.

Apple launched a new Digital ID feature for users to add passport information to their Apple Wallet, which will be accepted at 250 TSA checkpoints.

Apple Watch and iPhone owners in the United States will now be able to carry a copy of their U.S. passport on their device, which they can then use at TSA checkpoints across more than 250 U.S. airports when traveling domestically.

The feature will let users take information from their passports to create a digital ID to add to Apple Wallet.
