Carole Kaye, who was set to receive the Musical Excellence Award, revealed she will not be attending the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony in a since-deleted Facebook post; Kaye

Even if she doesn’t appear at the ceremony set for Nov. 8 at Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, Kaye will be formally inducted with a class that boasts names such as Outkast, Bad Company, Chubby Checker, Cyndi Lauper, and Soundgarden.

Kaye’s credits include the bass lines on Simon & Garfunkel’s “Homeward Bound,” the Beach Boys’ “Good Vibrations” and the Monkees’ “I’m a Believer.”
