The New England Patriots and every other NFL team have until Tuesday afternoon to get their roster down to 53 players. The Patriots got a jump on their roster cuts Friday, as head coach Mike Vrabel announced over a dozen players have been informed they're being released.

Among players cut, only Bell, Sow, Robinson, Rice and Bolden spent time with the Patriots last season. Sow, a 2023 fourth-round pick, and Bolden, a 2023 seventh-round pick, were the longest-tenured players released.

The new third-string signal-caller makes sure that every rep, even the ones he's not under center for, counts in his continued development in the pro game.
