AT&T is launching a new Account Lock feature that’s designed to protect wireless users against SIM swapping attacks. The feature, which you can enable from the myAT&T app, prevents unauthorized changes to your account, like phone number transfers, SIM card changes, and updates to billing information.

Primary and secondary account holders can now block specific transactions and account changes across all devices and lines on their account.

If you're an AT&T customer, you can turn on a new security feature that prevents your phone number from being moved to a different device without your knowledge, exposing your data to cyber criminals in the process.
