On Wednesday morning, a radar-confirmed tornado touched down near Whirlpool at 76th Street North and Highway 75. It continued northeast toward 86th and Memorial and eventually crossed over Highway 169 before moving into Highway 20. The tornado warnings have ended but severe thunderstorms are still moving through the area.

By Stef Manchen Click here for updates on this story OWASSO, Oklahoma (KJRH) — Owasso city councilors unanimously declared a state of emergency following an EF-1 tornado hitting the city on April 2nd.

"You could hardly get through the street, because of all of the vehicles and support help and trucks and already beginning to remove debris and people on roofs," the mayor said.

Severe storms wreaked havoc in Owasso, causing a 10-mile path of destruction and damaging homes and power lines, but no injuries were reported.
