Jesus says in John’s Gospel, “I am the Good Shepherd,” but being detached from pastoral landscapes and lifestyles, we sometimes miss the implications.

Jesus is not a hired hand, He is the Good Shepherd. He knows who His sheep are and will never let them out of His sight. He can be trusted fully because He is fully trustworthy.

So, today, may you know Jesus, the Good Shepherd, and hear his voice. May you listen to him and follow him, and may you fulfil his calling to be like him and be a shepherd for him.
