為減輕大埔宏福苑受影響業主的供樓負擔，房屋委員會即時放寬按揭貸款保證契據內有關按揭還款期及還款額的規定，讓所有參與資助出售單位按揭的銀行及財務機構可向宏福苑未補價資助出售單位的按揭人提供特別按揭貸款安排，包括延期償還按揭供款或本金的安排。
