Actor Joe Marinelli, who starred in the 1980s soap opera “Santa Barbara,” has died. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Marinelli’s wife Jean confirmed the actor died following a battle with stomach cancer.

The former carpenter, who discovered that “pants are a lot more comfortable than nylons,” also recurred as director Donny Spagnoli on ‘The Morning Show.’ Mark Duplass, Alexander Payne and Finneas pay tribute.
