Pope Francis has not been seen in public since entering the hospital, his longest absence from view since his papacy started in March 2013.

Pope Francis had a good night’s rest early Monday after apparently overcoming a setback in his recovery from pneumonia: He is stable, off mechanical ventilation and shows no sign of new infection following a respiratory crisis late last week.

The Vatican said on Tuesday that the Pope slept well through the night and is still resting after suffering two respiratory insufficiencies a day earlier, as per Vatican News."The Pope slept through the night and now continues to rest,
