The Bakersfield community is staying strong after battling fires, the EF-3 tornado that killed three people, and flooding from this weekend.“There’s definitely been some losses for some folks,” said Bakersfield resident Jeff Sagert.
The National Weather Service said the tornado - which cut a path through Nevada, Missouri - extended nearly 17 miles and had a width of 600 yards. Maximum wind speeds reached nearly 100 mph.
We’re talking weeks, months, even longer in all this cleanup,” Nevada’s city manager said. “It’s going to be a massive job.”
