The Karen Read trial is back in Norfolk Superior Court on Wednesday as crash reconstruction expert Judson Welcher is back on the stand for a second day of testimony. Welcher could be the last witness before the prosecution rests its case.

Welcher received a report on May 8 from Shanon Burgess, his colleague, who found “new information that changed the timing,” he said. Burgess’s report concerned a “clock variance” between Read’s SUV and O’Keefe’s iPhone that lined up the time she backed up her car and O’Keefe’s last interaction with his phone.
