RIDGEWOOD, New Jersey -- Army investigators are looking into what caused an ROTC cadet from New Jersey to die during training at Fort Knox in Kentucky last week. Neil Edara, 22, of Ridgewood, joined the ROTC while attending Rutgers University in 2021.

Neil Edara, a 22-year-old Ridgewood native who joined Rutgers University’s ROTC in 2021, was in the middle of the land navigation training at the Kentucky base when he became unresponsive.
