Jannik Sinner can look forward to his next matchup against Carlos Alcaraz now because he has finally ended a losing streak against his rival.

Sinner, the world No. 1, is the first Italian to win on the men's side at Wimbledon and snapped Alcaraz's 20-match streak in London dating back to 2023.

The No. 1 seed defeated Carlos Alcaraz, 4-6, 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 in the 2025 Wimbledon men's singles final on Sunday to win the prestigious event. He prevented Alcaraz from making history and joining Björn Borg, Pete Sampras, Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic as the only men in the Open Era to win Wimbledon three straight years.
