According to a report from ESPN's Pete Thamel, offensive coordinator Brian Hartline has agreed to a deal to become the next head coach at South Florida. He will be replacing Alex Golesh, who left the program to become the head coach at Auburn.
The former Buckeye wide receiver-turned-assistant coach has spent the last seven years taking an already impressive history at wide receiver in Columbus to something unseen before in college football. He’s recruited every five-star and top-tier recruit imaginable while producing five first-round NFL Draft picks in the process.
Auburn coach Alex Golesh was the offensive coordinator under coach Josh Heupel for two seasons, including two with Tennessee football.
