The New York Stock Exchange and Nasdaq will close early at 1 p.m. ET on Black Friday. After Black Friday, U.S. markets will resume normal hours until closing early on Christmas Eve. Thanksgiving has come and gone, and now it's time to get back to business.

Black Friday bargains no longer tempt people to leave Thanksgiving tables for midnight mall runs. But the annual sales event still brings more shoppers into stores than any day of the year.

Customers are taking advantage of those Black Friday deals in-person, even though many of those deals started early online. Malls are still drawing large crowds of shoppers who said they just can’t get the same Christmas spirit online.
