A man who was reportedly on parole and accused of brandishing a knife at officers and cars is dead after an officer discharged his firearm on Wednesday afternoon.

In its latest heat index bulletin, PAGASA placed several areas under the “danger” classification, with forecast heat index values ranging from 42°Celsius (°C)  to 43°C.
