Colorado Safeway locations have begun to draw picket lines on Sunday after recent negotiations failed between the representing union and the grocery store chain.

Safeway workers could strike as early as Sunday after the union gave 72-hour notice following stalled negotiations over staffing and unfair labor practices.

The union said they gave Safeway the required 72-hour notice, and that means workers can hit the picket lines as early as Sunday morning.
