Despite chatbots being viewed as 'artificial' conversationalists, people have put their trust in them and are already oversharing with the AI, as chats with them are often perceived as private. However, that is not precisely the case with Meta AI.
When we asked Meta to comment, a representative reiterated that chats are private by default and are never public until the user goes through the process to post. "Some would even say there's too much friction" to posting to the Discover feed, the representative added.
Tap your profile icon at the top right. Tap “Data & Privacy” under “App settings.” Tap “Manage your information.” Then, tap “Make all your prompts visible to only you.” If you’ve already posted publicly and want to remove those posts, you can also tap “Delete all prompts.”
