At least eight people died overnight following Iranian missile strikes on Israel. Israel's defense minister accused Iran of targeting civilians and Iranian officials have also accused Israel of striking civilians.
Israel and Iran exchanged fire for the fourth consecutive day on Monday, stocking fears of an all-out war with the potential to drag in others in the oil-rich region and force the US into a more hands-on stance.
The Israel Defense Forces said alerts were activated in several areas of the country after the detection of missiles launched from Iran toward Israel. The Air Force was working to intercept them, the IDF said.
The warning came on the fourth day of the conflict, when the Israeli military claimed it had achieved air superiority over the Iranian capital and could fly over the city without facing major threats.
