Fueled by sophomore John Blackwell and excellent bench play, Wisconsin Basketball notched a 26-tally win over the Washington Huskies on Tuesday.
Wisconsin basketball suffered its first loss since January with a 77-73 overtime at the hands of Oregon on Saturday.
On Saturday, Tonje displayed his offensive prowess throughout the bulk of the first half vs. Oregon. The 6-foot-5 star scored 16 points in a six-minute stretch to propel Wisconsin to a 17-point edge ahead of intermission.
Illinois, Steven Crowl looked like a shell of himself. In 18 minutes of action, the program veteran finished with nine points, zero rebounds and three fouls. Illinois center Tomislav Ivisic dropped nine points and corralled a game-high 11 rebounds,
Badgers guard Kamari McGee had never shot better than 27.5% from 3-point range in his collegiate career before this season. Now, McGee is making more than half of his attempts.
