Detroit Lions defensive line coach Terrell Williams is leaving his position with the franchise to become New England's new defensive coordinator under Vrabel, according to a report from ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Detroit Lions defensive line coach Terrell Williams is departing the organization and will accept the defensive coordinator position with the New England Patriots. Williams had previously worked with Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel during their stint with the Tennessee Titans.

The 50-year-old Williams coached defensive line for Mike Vrabel for six seasons in Tennessee, also serving as the team’s assistant head coach for Vrabel’s final season.

The Patriots have hired Giants defensive assistant Zak Kuhr, according to reports.

The 28-year-old Grant will work alongside offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels to help facilitate the ongoing development of 2024 first-round pick Drake Maye.

Tennessee Titans star defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons commented on Terrell Williams landing the defensive coordinator position with the New England Patriots. Simmons had some of his best seasons under Williams.
