Glenn and the Jets are interested in hiring Chris Banjo as special teams coordinator, Mike Klis of 9News reports. Banjo is currently an assistant with the Broncos, having taken a spot on Sean Payton‘s staff in 2023. Klis adds a New York interview request is expected, but also that the Broncos "don't want to lose Banjo."

That could lead the front office toward hedging their bets to sign a veteran option in free agency before the draft arrives. One such option could be Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Russell Wilson, according to Marissa Myers of TWSN.

The Broncos were hamstrung due to the record amount of dead money they had to deal with as a result of the Russell Wilson contract. As a result, the team was forced to be frugal in free agency, selecting lower-tier players with the potential of some upside.

Nix unexpectedly led the Broncos to the playoffs and accounted for 33 TDs in his rookie season. But he knows he has plenty to work on in 2025.
