Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and global pop star Taylor Swift did not attend the Met Gala in New York City on Monday night because their schedules reportedly wouldn't allow it. According to TMZ Sports, Kelce and Swift were invited to the event, but scheduling conflicts prevented them from attending.

The record-breaking “Fortnight” singer and the NFL star were sorely missed as stars made their way down the carpeted steps of New York City’s Metropolitan Museum of Art tonight, for an evening inspired by the museum’s exhibition “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.” But, the couple’s absence does not come as a huge surprise.

Amid speculation Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce would make their red carpet debut at Met Gala 2025, E! News has learned the stars, who've been enjoying time off together, will not attend on May 5.
