A teenager found unconscious on top of a New York City subway train early Friday morning has died. New York City Police were called to the Queensboro Plaza Subway Station at 2:47 a.m. and discovered the unresponsive 15-year-old male, a NYPD spokesperson said.

A 15-year-old boy could be the latest victim of subway surfing, a dangerous practice of riding on the roofs of train cars that has lured New York City youth for decades.

Cops called to the Queensboro Plaza station found the teen lying unconscious on the train tracks for the No. 7 line at about 2:45 a.m., police said.
