A 38-year-old man was fatally stabbed during the Friday morning rush hour in New York City's subway system following a dispute that began when another rider reportedly stepped on his shoes, according to police.

NEW YORK CITY - A man is in critical condition after he was stabbed on a New York City subway platform, the NYPD said. The stabbing happened just after 8:30 a.m. at the Brooklyn Bridge station. According to police, the 40-year-old man was stabbed on the 4,5,6 southbound platform.
