Jayson Tatum suffered a torn Achilles tendon during Monday night's Game 4 of the Eastern Conference semifinal series between the Boston Celtics and New York Knicks. The Celtics star left the game late in the fourth quarter after he went down on the court from the non-contact injury.

Not only did the Boston Celtics lose to the New York Knicks Monday to fall to within one game of elimination from the playoffs, they also lost Jayson Tatum to a torn Achilles, the team announced Tuesday.

The Knicks pushed the Celtics to the brink of elimination on Monday, but much of the conversation after Game 4 of the Eastern semifinals centered around Jayson Tatum's injury.
