The Cleveland Guardians have recalled left-hander Tim Herrin and optioned lefty Joey Cantillo to Triple-A Columbus. Cleveland made the moves on Sunday.

CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Guardians in a surprising move have optioned left-handed starter Joey Cantillo to Triple-A Columbus and recalled left-handed reliever Tim Herrin.

The Guardians were shut out for the 12th time and fell one game behind the Yankees for the final American League wild-card spot.
