Ramirez was one of about 100 people who gathered at Burk Burnett Park Thursday evening to participate in the Good Trouble Lives On protest — a national tribute in remembrance of Congressman John Lewis, a civil rights leader who died on July 17, 2020.

Across Lane County, community members participated in "Good Trouble Lives On" demonstrations, denouncing Trump administration policies.

“Good Trouble” rallies are coming to Boston and other Massachusetts cities on Thursday, July 17, in protest of the Trump administration, according to the Indivisible Mass Coalition.

Over 1,600 Good Trouble Lives On protests are scheduled nationwide on July 17. Organized by civil rights groups, the events honor John Lewis on the anniversary of his death and protest actions by Donald Trump.
