President Donald Trump sent stock futures diving early Friday after he accused China of breaking a handshake pact the two countries made in Geneva earlier this month that had helped ratchet down a trade standoff.

U.S. President Donald Trump on Friday said China had violated an agreement with the U.S. to mutually roll back tariffs and trade restrictions for critical minerals and issued a new veiled threat to get tougher with Beijing.

The bad news is that China, perhaps not surprisingly to some, has totally violated its agreement with us," said Trump.
