Eric Dane arrived at Amazon MGM’s premiere of “Countdown” in Los Angeles on Wednesday. The evening marked the actor’s first red carpet appearance since publicly disclosing that he had been diagnosed with ALS.

Eric Dane — who revealed in April that he was diagnosed with ALS — shared that despite his “setbacks,” he has no plans of giving up his acting career.

Dane -- who shot to fame amid six seasons on the hit ABC drama "Grey's Anatomy," where he played Dr. Mark Sloan, affectionately known as "McSteamy" -- said his symptoms began over one year ago, when he began to experience weakness in his right hand.
