The discount retailer, based in Columbus, Ohio, announced on Dec. 27 that Gordon Brothers Retail Partners LLC has agreed to buy the company. This will allow Big Lots to transfer assets including stores, distribution centers and intellectual property to the Boston-based asset liquidation firm.
