There were five winning tickets drawn in Virginia’s 2026 New Year’s Millionaire Raffle that are worth $1 million. One of those tickets was sold at the Food Lion in Hopewell, Virginia Lottery officials announced on Thursday.

Richmond, VA – Virginia kicked off the new year by making five lucky players instant millionaires, with winning tickets drawn in the Virginia Lottery’s annual New Year’s Millionaire Raffle. The five $1 million winning ticket numbers and their purchase locations are:

Hopewell was one of five localities across Virginia that sold top winning tickets in the New Year's Millionaire Raffle.

The Virginia Lottery held a New Year's Millionaire Raffle, with $100,000 winning tickets being sold in Suffolk, Poquoson, Yorktown and Virginia Beach. Link:

There were seven additional $100,000 winners. The winners have 180 days to claim their prizes or forfeit them.

Although no $1,000,000 raffle ticket was purchased at any Hampton Roads gas station, there was still a winner in our area.
