STORRS, Conn. (WTNH) — The UConn women’s basketball team had no problems staying unbeaten Wednesday night despite being shorthanded. The top-ranked Huskies rolled over Xavier, 97-39, with two of their top four scorers — Serah Williams and Blanca Quiñonez — out for the game.
Sophomore Allie Ziebell tied UConn’s program record for single-game 3-pointers in a 97-39 rout of Xavier on Wednesday at Gampel Pavilion.

On Monday, the redshirt senior played a complete game against Notre Dame for the first time in her college career after she was sidelined three of the last four years and exited the lone matchup she appeared in with a knee injury in 2022.
The Sun Belt Conference preemptively shook up its women’s basketball schedule, moving around the start times on several games from Thursday through Saturday. The American Athletic Conference also adjusted its weekend men’s and women’s basketball schedules, moving some games up to Friday.
