Suddenlink Communications announced the beginning of a national phone service rollout Thursday, and Bryan-College Station customers are among the first to get connected, company officials said.

"The board of directors has unanimously determined that continuing to operate Suddenlink and pursuing the company’s long-term business plan represents the best path forward," the cable giant stated.
