NEW YORK (WABC) -- A major snowstorm is enveloping the Tri-State area, with the worst already beginning to strike parts of the area Friday evening, and will continue into early Saturday. Parts of the Tri-State area will be on track to receive around a foot of snow if the heaviest bands deliver on their potential.
The storm went further north than expected, and as of 3 a.m., there were 4 inches reported in Ramsey. Snow started again around 6 a.m.
